Panoramic View of Babusar Pass

The road to Chillas from Naran goes above the mountains and passes through the highest point in Kaghan Valley, the Babusar Pass also known as Babusar Top, which is the highest peak in the Kaghan Valley (13,700 ft.). The route to Babusar is on the Mansehra-Naran-Babusar-Chillas highway toward Chillas, the drive is mesmerizing in itself as the marvelous River Kunhar is flowing along the route on the left and the mountain covered with Alpine Forest is on the right. The road till Chillas is paved and smooth, except for some bad patches. Babusar is the highest peak of this route at the height of 13,700ft, and then the road toward Chillas starts ascending. While travelling upward on the mountain the weather starts getting colder & colder. Riding for almost 5 hours, from Naran one can reach the Babusar Pass. This place has frequent snowfall and rain all around the year, except for winter when it is completely blocked and in summer the weather can be sunny and windy. The road to Babusar is open from the middle of July up to the end of September. At the Babusar Top the lush green plains, the clear water streams and the snow covered Rakaposhi along with the Karakoram Ranges can be seen.
